LG Hanger Assembly And Shipping
Figure 1. Precision machined 3 lb. hanger weight - 1 5/8" diameter 1018 Cold Roll Steel. Cut to length, both ends faced and radiused. Hole drilled and tapped for hook.
Figure 2. Each machined 3 lb weight has a sanded finish that is then wiped clean with acetone and painted flat black.
Figure 3. Each LG Hanger is machined from a solid piece of acrylic polycarbonate. As you can see, there is a lip around the mouth opening. This prevents the silicon rubber sleeve from slipping. When finished with machining, each hanger is polished so it can be washed regularly. This is done to help prevent bacteria from accumulating inside.
Figure 4. Each hanger has a machined face, for the female fitting rubber O-ring to sit and seal against. Additionally, each female fitting has teflon tape double wrapped around the fitting to help ensure there are no vacuum leaks.
Figure 5. Part of the assembly process is installing the silicon rubber sleeve onto the hanger. Two #8 industrial rubber bands are used to secure the rubber sleeve around the outside diameter of the LG Hanger chamber.
Figure 6. Each package comes with a chemical-resistant PVC hose, to connect to the vacuum pump. The male fitting is installed prior to shipment.
Figure 7. Each LG Hanger assembly is fitting-tested, to ensure there are no fitting mismatches. The disconnect is checked for proper release function.
